One-stop shop unveiled for Loch Leven tourism hot spot

Loch Leven Tourism Forum has launched a new website to showcase the year-round tourism offering in Central Scotland.

Loch Leven Tourism Forum, in Kinross-shire has launched a new website, visitlochleven.org, in order to promote the popularity of the region and to capitalise on the area as the perfect touring base.

The site acts as a one-stop shop for people planning a visit to the area and features information to help visitors plan their journey, select accommodation, explore attractions and discover seasonal highlights and events.

With information on walking, cycling, golf, restaurants, wildlife and the stunning scenery, visitors will be able to find everything they need to organise a memorable holiday whatever the season, and encourage them to extend their stay.

Richard Pinn, VisitScotland regional director for Perthshire said: “One of the strengths of Loch Leven is the area has something to offer everyone. Outstanding scenery, history and heritage, a range of outdoor activities and a world class wildlife offering mean that there truly is something that will appeal to all visitors.

“Partnership working is crucial to the future of the tourism industry and this is a fantastic example of the public and private sector pulling together for the common benefit of Loch Leven.

“This new website will be a welcome addition to the marketing repertoire already available for Loch Leven and will further support the drive for visitors to the area.”

The Loch Leven Tourism Forum, (part of the Kinross-shire Partnership) is a not-for-profit membership organisation.  Its members are local tourism related business operators and it is supported by RSPB, Perth & Kinross Council, Historic Scotland, SNH, VisitScotland, and Scottish Enterprise.
