The range of things to see and do in the Loch Leven area is impressively diverse. There really is something to suit everyone, however active or inactive you wish your holiday to be. The choice is yours ! We have developed some itineraries to help you make the most of your visit to Loch Leven. The first of these itineraries covers golf - walking, castles & gardens and family activities to follow soon.



Golf

Thinking about a golf trip to Scotland then why not choose the Loch Leven area as your base. From here there are close to 200 courses (links, heathland and parkland) within about an hour’s drive, including many championship courses. Many of our golf courses were established in the latter part of the 19th century and are steeped in history and tradition. So whether you are a beginner or a seasoned golfer this is perfect location. If feel you need to hone your skills why not book some lessons. Most of the 18-hole courses have a club professional who can give lessons or you might want to try one of the nearby Golf Academies either at The Gleneagles Hotel or at The St Andrews Links. There are also five Driving Ranges in the area – Noah’s Ark Golf Centre in Perth, Wellsgreen Golf Range near Windygates, Forrester Park near Dunfermline, The Gleneagles Golf Academy and The St Andrews Links Practice Centre.
