Burnbank is a B&B with a difference.

Two dedicated “foodies” await your arrival and within a very short time, you too will feel like one of the many celebrities that have graced the tables of Chef, Trevor and top class caterer Ann.

Perthshire is often called Scotland's larder, and at Burnbank they are eager to use this natural bounty by using only the best of local produce in our contemporary Scottish menus.

Holders of the 'Taste Our Best' award, your stay at Burnbank will be full of Scottish culinary delights, from eggs produced by free range ‘rescue’ hens, (ex battery hens), home made bread and preserves at breakfast, and don’t miss out on Ann’s delicious home made Granola, covered with lashings of raspberry coulis and Greek style yoghurt. As far as possible all the ingredients used at Burnbank are home grown, local and/or organic.

And the food experience does not stop there, they also provide evening meals. Feast on local free-range chicken, stuffed with Anster cheese, (made on the Stewart’s family’s dairy farm near Anstruther). A home made beef burger with Organic Aberdeen Angus Beef served on a home made sesame bun. Or for the vegetarians among you; a sumptuous shitake mushroom risotto made with wild mushrooms grown near Comrie or why not indulge in the light and dreamy Strathdon Blue cheese soufflé. Whatever your dietary requirement, Trevor and Ann will accommodate the dietary needs of their guests.

As Cittaslow Business Supporters, Burnbank has been awarded the coveted Gold Standard by the Green Business Scheme. Planet earth is important to Trevor and Ann and they run their business in a responsible and ethically minded way. You will find all the toiletries in the rooms to be eco friendly as are all the cleaning materials used. They believe that small things make big impacts. Recycling is important to them, as is reducing their carbon footprint, hence the low energy light bulbs and eco shower heads in all the en suite rooms.

All of these measures complement the standards of comfort for guests, as the many favourable guest reviews testify. The house is comfortably decorated and furnished and made to feel homely by the addition of many artefacts gathered on their extensive travels. All the bedding is high thread count Egyptian cotton and sumptuous, heavy weight, towels are provided for the comfort of guests.

At Burnbank, nothing is too much trouble, attention to detail and the genuine warm welcome you receive means that every guest is made to feel special.

Trevor and Ann look forward to welcoming you to their warm and relaxing home.
